Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are custom-made versions of GLP-1 medications.

Here’s what patients should know:

Safe, regulated preparation

Mevo Health only partners with pharmacies that are:

  • FDA-registered 503A or 503B compounding facilities

  • Regularly inspected

  • Following strict sterility and potency testing

  • Using FDA-approved active ingredients

Important safety clarification

  • Compounded medications themselves are not FDA-approved.

  • They are made in FDA-registered facilities using FDA-approved ingredients.

Compounding is common in healthcare and used when:

  • Commercial versions are in shortage

  • A customized dose is needed

  • A patient requires an alternative formulation

Your provider will only prescribe compounded medication if it’s safe and appropriate for you.
