Plateaus are normal and almost everyone experiences them, even with GLP-1 medications.

This does not mean the medication stopped working.

Common reasons for plateaus:

  • Your body adjusting to your current dose

  • Less fluid retention

  • Smaller appetite = less food = natural slowdown

  • Improved metabolism

  • Hormonal shifts

How to break a plateau gently:

  • Increase your dose (if appropriate)

  • Add small amounts of movement

  • Drink more water

  • Focus on protein

  • Sleep 7–9 hours

  • Stay consistent, your body will catch up

Most plateaus last 1–3 weeks before weight loss picks back up.
